Diamond Home Care has two new programs available for residents at assisted care facilities and adult foster care homes. These programs are at no cost to the seniors, their insurance companies, or facilities that choose to participate.

1. Healthy Living Program:

We share a passion and commitment to helping our senior citizen population take an active role in both their treatment programs and their overall health.

In our Healthy Living Program under the direction of a physical therapist, we provide a group exercise program within the facility on a weekly basis. The exercises are basic and most seniors will have no difficulty performing them. Since it is beneficial to the senior population to keep up their strength to perform usual activities of daily living, Diamond Group provides the Healthy Living Program as a free service.

2. Fall Prevention Program:

Our Fall Prevention Program provides quarterly screening of all residents in the building. Our goal is to identify residents who are at risk for accidents such as falls and to develop programs to prevent them from falling through our home health services.

Hospitals, insurance companies, senior advocates, and JCAHO have all identified falls and related injuries sustained at home as major problems for senior citizens.
